"Natkadaws" in Myanmar are Spirit Mediums who act the role of Nat Spirits in the many Nat festivals of Myanmar. Most of the Natkadaws are gay and at the Taungbyone Festival any Natkadaw worth his salt goes to this festival as it's the biggest "Nat Pwe" in the country. And of course it's something completely different for everyone in the world!
ITINERARY
Day 1: arrive in Yangon and transfer to your flight to Mandalay. On the way to your hotel in Mandalay visit Amarapura and U-Bein bridge the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Overnight Mandalay Swan Hotel
Day 2: morning visit Mandalay and district including the jade market, the Mahamuni Pagoda, gold-leaf making workshops and other craft workshops and Sagaing Hill. Afternoon visit the Taungbyone Nat Festival in Madaya 10 miles north of Mandalay. Overnight Mandalay Swan Hotel
Day 3: Morning take a trip across the Ayeyawady River to Mingun and see the world's largest ringing bell and the Mingun Paya which was intended to be the biggest Pagoda in the world but was partially destroyed by an earthquake before the construction was finished and was never subsequently restarted. After lunch visit the World's biggest book, Shwe Nan Daw teakwood Monastery and then on to Mandalay Hill to see the sunset. Overnight Mandalay Swan Hotel
Day 4: morning take a drive to Pyin Oo Lwin in the cool mountains above Mandalay to see this quaint old Hill Station and visit Myanmar's Botanical Gardens. After lunch drive to Mandalay airport for your flight to Bagan. Before checking into your hotel take a brief tour of Bagan. Overnight Bagan Thande Hotel

Day 6: morning fly to Yangon and all day tour of Yangon prior to International Departures
